St. Francis: radical lifestyle
"Like a sun, he went on in the world," said the Italian poet Dante Alighieri convinced. The, of which the question is, was the St. Francis, St. Francis of Assisi. Others have called him a "second Christ". The poor life of Francis, his letting go, and so his criticism of a world the credit of, or own lives, above all, his unconditional follow in the footsteps of Jesus - all this has remained compelling. That is why we love and adore him.
Francis was a man who has lived radically. "Radical" comes to the word meaning from the Latin "radix" which means something like "root". Francis of Assisi did in his life to the very root of Christianity. He was rooted in God - conscious, but was located in a special way of roots - as we all do. This gave him strength, endurance, and above all plenty of love for his radical lifestyle. This force, this endurance and that love may God through the intercession of Saint Francis also give us: to each individual Christian and the Church as a whole!
