St. Callisto: the beauty of being Christian

from the slave state to the papal throne - with these few words, the curriculum vitae of the saints today outlined succinctly. The Church celebrates today the feast of St. Pope Callisto. He was at the beginning of the 3rd Century bishop of Rome as successor of St. Francis. Peter. Its original home of the slave state is reminiscent of a saying of the Apostle Paul in his letter to the Galatians, that the difference between slaves and free people do not count anymore. All are one in Christ (Gal 3:28). And unity in Christ in turn brings forth freedom. For that reason, the church of today, any form of inhuman Dependence does not accept. Everyone has an inalienable dignity in Christ. Something of that dignity expressed in the rest of the name "Callisto" from. It derives from the Greek word "Callisto", the beautiful. In Christ and with Christ to be, which makes life beautiful. this is no different today than it did in the times of Pope Callisto.
