St. Ignatius of Antioch: harmony be
"Take the tune you in to God!" This call an early Christian bishop should now be directed consciously to us. Who picks up the melody of God in him, whose body and soul into the wings. It is caused inner harmony from which it draws also on the outside its consequences. Life will get a certain lightness, as the melody of God is not the music of a fate drama, but they rather like a happy love song. "Take the melody to God in you" - this is a salutary call, even more: a wonderful invitation, we do not want to close.
RULED this invitation, as I said, an early Christian bishop, Ignatius of Antioch, whose memorial the Church celebrates today. He has addressed this invitation not only to individual Christians but to the community of a religious community. The unit of a community he likened to the strings of a harp. The strings must sound together, otherwise the tune would not sound good. Too, we want to have to invite us to harmony with each other, especially in our communities and municipalities. And we want Ask God that he nachstimmt the harp, the strings if not sound good together.
